Volunteer Fire Department. We are fortunate to have a well staffed volunteer fire department in our area with three fire engines, located at the Fire Hall. There are 13 trained fire fighters and six members of a first-responder team, which has two defibrillators. Volunteers meet monthly.

The annual Pancake Breakfast, held around the Fourth of July, is the major fund raiser for the department.

Residents who are planning large-scale burning of brush or other material should contact the department to inform it of the time and location.
